LET’S PLAY!

Welcome!

We’re glad you’re here.

play, learn, grow

play, learn, grow •

We are Clayton Valley Parent Preschool, also known as CVPP. Settled in Concord, CA, we are a play-based preschool with over 50 years of experience serving our incredible families.

You are invited to join us in our cooperative community, where parents have the unique opportunity to share in your child's first school journey.  At CVPP, we provide creative and educational play experiences for your child in a relaxed and caring atmosphere.

Our program promotes the development of the "whole" child physically, cognitively, emotionally and socially.  This allows each child the greatest opportunity for success and positive self-esteem.

LEARNING THROUGH PLAY

At CVPP, we offer preschool and prekindergarten (Pre-K) programs that meet the varying developmental stages of children from ages 2 years old. Here, our children are continuously stimulated through play, discovery, and exploration. Our director, and community of parent teachers, encourages the classroom through hands-on curriculum to steadily engage all of their senses and promote wholistic development and ways of learning.

Our Teachers

Meet Miss Jamie – Teacher’s Assistant

Miss Jamie brings more than 15 years of experience working with young children and a genuine passion for play-based, child-led learning. She earned her Associate of Science degree in Early Childhood Education from Diablo Valley College and later completed the First 5 Professional Development Program at DVC.

Throughout her career, Jamie has worked as a nanny, after-school tutor, and preschool teacher. She taught infants and toddlers at Hummingbird Preschool Academy before spending over two years as a preschool teacher at Parkside Joyful Kids Academy. Jamie also has firsthand experience with cooperative preschools, attending the MDUSD Cooperative Preschool at Loma Vista with her oldest child for two years.

Jamie believes children learn best through hands-on exploration, meaningful relationships, and opportunities to follow their natural curiosity. Inspired by the Reggio Emilia approach, she loves creating engaging experiences that foster creativity, confidence, and a lifelong love of learning.

Jamie has been a valued member of the Clayton Valley Parent Preschool community for the past two years. During the 2025–2026 school year, she served on the Board of Directors and will continue serving on the board while stepping into the role of Teacher’s Assistant for the 2026–2027 school year. As both a parent and educator, she is passionate about the cooperative preschool model and looks forward to supporting our children and families throughout the school year.
